  4. Designed to be used with the ANT Internet Suite this application when run
  5. will do one of several things:
  6.  
  7. 1:
  8. If the ANT InetSuite is not loaded then GetmyMail loads the InetSuite and
  9. forces it online, gets your Mail and News and then goes offline. ¹

  11. 2:
  12. If the ANT InetSuite is loaded and offline then GetmyMail forces it online and
  13. gets your Mail and News and then goes offline.
  14.  
  15. 3:
  16. If the ANT InetSuite is loaded and already online then GetmyMail gets your
  17. email and news and remains online.

  20. GetmyMail is set to only remain online for 5mins maximum.
  21. You can set this to be any time limit (in minutes) by altering the
  22. 'Set getmymail%timelimit 5' line in the !Run file.

  24. (GetMyMail will automatically quit once it's finished btw.)

  29. By popular request I've added the ability to request GetmyMail to only ask the
  30. ANTSuite to fetch either Mail or News (some people only want to fetch news once
  31. a day whilst getting mail every 30 mins for example).

  34. To do this you need to specify either a M or N at the end of the pathname
  35. in a Obey file or command line as shown below.
  36. (lettercase insensitive).

  39. ADFS::HardDisc4.$.Comms.Mail.!GetmyMail N
  40. to fetch News

  42. ADFS::HardDisc4.$.Comms.Mail.!GetmyMail M
  43. to fetch Mail

  45. If you don't specify anything then this program fetches both News and Mail.
  46.  
  47. (If you prefer you can actually specify the whole word like News or Mail as
  48. it only looks for the key letters N or M).

  50. Please note that in order for this new feature to work correctly you will
  51. need to set the 'Mail and News Setup' settings within the Configuration
  52. panel on the ANTSuite to 'Transfer Mail/News Manually'.

  60. GetMyMail will monitor the desktop to see if there is any data transfers in progress and will not go off line until these finish.
  61. ie Perhaps you've decided to download a file whilst mail and news is being
  62. fetched.
